Nose👃🏼 : Fruit cake, dark chocolate, orange peel, cherries, lemon zest and ginger

Taste 👅 : Sweet Cherries, orange zest, fruit cake, cocoa nibs, drying oak and ginger spice

Finish 🏁 : Bittersweet dark chocolate, candied fruit peels, night nurse (menthol cough syrup) and liquorice

Thoughts 💭 : Great dram, nice levels of complexity to it, there’s a medium mouthfeel to it and some good sherry flavours from the Pedro Ximénez cask maturation. What it maybe could have used was a little time in an ex-bourbon cask to begin with in order to get some more sweetness behind it and less dry and bitter notes which would help smooth the profile a little. Otherwise a great dram and certainly an easy one to sip.
