Nose👃🏼 : Lemon zest, honey, barley, sherbet, grass and earth

Taste 👅 : Sugar barley, stone fruits, black pepper with intense spice and honey

Finish 🏁 : Lingering spice, a little liquorice and salty

Thoughts 💭 : 2023 Special Release from Diageo of the Singleton, that’s been finished in Chardonnay de Bourgogne French Oak casks.
It’s incredibly spicy with an oily mouthfeel, the flavours are pretty savoury which may appeal to some but to me it lacks depth. It’s made more interesting by the intense spice that it brings with it but it’s otherwise unremarkable for the money expected. That being said I’ve known some to love whiskies like this that I’ve not particularly loved so the best way to know for certain is to try it yourself.
