Nose👃🏼 : Pear drops, hay, lemon zest, manuka honey, orange marmalade, hints of chocolate and ginger

Taste 👅 : Strawberries, stone fruits, ripened pear, mocha, black pepper and ginger

Finish 🏁 : Bittersweet orange marmalade, baking spices and dry oak

Thoughts 💭 : Matured in first fill bourbon and Oloroso Sherry casks there’s the distilleries usual flavours popping out a long with fruity flavours and hints of chocolate throughout. There’s a thick mouthfeel and an overall bittersweet taste to it. The high abv enhances the flavours and adds a touch more spice but nothing hugely noticeable making it both easy to drink and dangerous.
Overall it’s a pretty good whisky, if you enjoy bitter and sweet flavours mixed around with fruit and spice then you’ll enjoy this one and the price won’t break the bank either.
