Colour 🌈 : Dark Copper Red
Nose👃🏼 : Spiced fruit cake, ginger, chocolate caramel, cherries, nuts and orange peel
Taste 👅 : Lots of ginger spice, baking spices, cinnamon and fruit cake
Finish 🏁 : Tannin, orange marmalade and black pepper
Thoughts 💭 : It’s a nice dram, there’s an oily mouthfeel and the whisky is full of spicy flavours with a little sweetness that turns bitter to it. The nose is fantastic and brings out good sherry smells but the taste unfortunately doesn’t quite deliver on these although it feels like they could be there but overpowered by the spice and bitterness.
