Nose👃🏼 : Strawberries and cream, sherbet lemon, pear drops, sugar barley, honey and sea breeze

Taste 👅 : Ripe pear, strawberry jam, creamy vanilla and black pepper spice

Finish 🏁 : Sea salt and dry oak

Thoughts 💭 : Nice cask Strength whisky from Douglas Laing, The Gauldrons blends whiskies from the Campbeltown area of Scotland and the typical flavours certainly pull through. The whisky is sharp and packs a punch, it’s spicy but it’s over quick like an explosion and the mouthfeel is oily. It’s pretty fruity with a maritime character behind it and there’s good complexity to it too.
