🖍 Natural Colour

Colour 🌈 : Golden Copper

Nose👃🏼 : Liquorice, aniseed, bitter mocha, dark demerara sugar and some orange peel

Taste 👅 : Explosively spicy! Chilli, ginger and tablespoons of cinnamon greet the tongue and explode like fireworks. As it settles, lots of rich dark chocolate and cocoa nibs come through, along with fruit cake and custard, vanilla fudge, glacé cherries, raisins and roasted nuts

Finish 🏁 : The cinnamon lingers with cocoa nibs coming back, ginger snaps pops out and tingles the mouth and as it settles some liquorice comes out

Thoughts 💭 : This particular expression of Glentauchers came from a Sherry Hogshead where it matured exclusively for 6 years. The combination of this and being at Cask Strength has lead to this being one incredibly beautiful and tasty whisky with rich flavours.
In honesty, I actually think this is a pretty fantastic whisky that seems to have been down played in reviews I’ve seen on selling sites. My only regret is that I didn’t pick up more than one bottle of this
