🖍 Natural Colour
Colour 🌈: Golden
Nose👃🏼: Caramelised pineapple, apple peel, honey, pear drops and barley sugar
Taste 👅: Very fruity, great flavours of pineapples, peaches, apple crumble with vanilla custard followed by spicy ginger stem
Finish 🏁 : Lingering ginger, fruit cocktail with some vanilla pod, a little black pepper and dry oak
Thoughts 💭: I’m not normally a big fan of an ex-bourbon cask, yes I like them but normally I go for a Sherry influenced whisky. This however I have two bottles of different batches of because it is pretty exceptional whisky. Full of great complexity and the flavours really pop out with that cask strength behind it. The mouthfeel goes between oily and a little creamy too.
All in all exceptional and good to see more bottles are being filled to make it a little less rare and widely available
