Nose👃🏼: Deep notes of straw hay, brown sugar, floral notes, red berries and marmalade

Taste 👅: Sweet cherry cola, jelly sweets, chilli spice and fruit cocktail

Finish 🏁 : Spicy oak fizzles out leaving fruit compote

Thoughts 💭: I was excited to get my hands on a Penderyn as they’ve become a rather established Welsh whisky brand. The nose initially turned me off but the taste was sensational, full of fruity flavours, deep flavours too. This isn’t just because of it being matured in ex port and ex bourbon barrels but also because of their unique distilling process which has proven to work well.
