Nose👃🏼 : Burnt pineapple, orange shreds, sandy beach dunes, pear drops, charred hay, vanilla pod and red berries

Taste 👅 : Incredibly smoky, burnt toast, ashy oak, burnt pineapple ends, reams of orange peel and pear drops

Finish 🏁 : Black pepper, charred oak, zesty citrus peels and red berry compote

Thoughts 💭 : This is an interesting one and to be honest I didn’t think I would like it when I had a drop of it. However after having a proper sip and letting the whisky open up it revealed its sweeter side and complexity which really made me appreciate it a lot more.

𝙰𝚋𝚘𝚞𝚝 📝 : Ardbeg Smokiverse is the distillery’s 2025 Fèis Ìle release, notable for introducing high-gravity mashing to their production process. This technique involves reducing the water content in the mash tun, resulting in a denser, sugar-rich wort. The increased concentration of fermentable sugars enhances the formation of flavour-active compounds, particularly acetate esters, leading to a fruitier and more tropical spirit.
