Thoughts 💭 :  Part of the Stories series this 18 Year Old Balvenie has spent 11 Years in Ex-Bourbon before a finishing period of 7 Years in Pineau Charant casks. The result of this has lead to thick and rich flavours of chocolate and coffee as well as a variety of fruity flavours. You could almost believe this was a Sherry and port maturation from the flavours.

This by far was the best of the series for me but it also bears a heavy price for it too at an rrp of £300. It is however rare to find a Balvenie 18 years old with this abv, non chill filtered and natural colour so it certainly is a treat to be had.

Sláinte!
