❄️ Non Chill Filtered

🖍 Natural Colour

Colour 🌈 : Copper Brown

Nose👃🏼 : Irn Bru, orange peel, pear drops, milk chocolate drops, ginger, cinnamon and glacé cherries

Taste 👅 : Dried fruit peel, orange marmalade, honeyed barley, chocolate and ginger

Finish 🏁 : Black pepper, tannin and a dry oak

Thoughts 💭 : It’s a nice dram but it’s not bursting with sherry flavours that I would expect especially after 9 months in a sherry octave. It’s hard hitting and super spicy, it has an oily mouthfeel and has the legs to go with it.
The light colour and taste makes me think the sherry hasn’t influenced the whisky as much as you’d like it to have. There is a 13 year old from the same year that has a much darker red hue to it with promises of sherry influence that may suit fans of a sherry cask more.

Sláinte!
