Colour 🌈 : Deep Copper

Nose👃🏼 : Chocolate caramel, Christmas pudding with custard, malted loaf, vegetable stock and cinnamon

Taste 👅 : Chocolate caramel follows through with a big hit of ginger spice. Then there’s fruit cake, roasted nuts, malted loaf, ground coffee and cinnamon

Finish 🏁 : Creamy vanilla toffee, mocha, root ginger and dry oak

Thoughts 💭 : Beautifully richly sherried whisky, there’s good hits of sweet sherry flavours that you know and love with some bitterness mixed in too to keep the taste buds appreciating that sweetness. The mouthfeel is thick and there’s a heap of spice there enhanced by the high abv.
It’s a great whisky and let’s not forget these Annandales are all single cask so each release is fairly different. This one seems a lot cheaper but that’s perhaps to attract more sales as the taste certainly is not cheap.
