Colour 🌈 : Gold

Nose👃🏼 : Pear drops, hay, stone fruits, caramel, honey and hot cross buns

Taste 👅 : Jelly tots, stone fruits, candied fruit peel, subtle cinnamon and chocolate

Finish 🏁 : Cinnamon spice, strawberries and some creamy chocolate

Thoughts 💭 : A pretty tasty dram, it’s fruity and sweet with a good amount of depth and complexity behind it. It has a medium mouthfeel with a subtle amount of spice but lots of fruit and creaminess behind it. It has been matured in Sherry, Port, Madeira, White Burgundy and Cabernet Sauvignon casks and this certainly seems to pull through into the whisky.
All in all it’s very tasty, I admittedly wasn’t expecting too much from this but I was proven wrong, the whisky really delivers great flavours and is well worth a try.
