Nose👃🏼 : Intense treacle, Christmas cake, cinnamon, toffee apples, ginger, coffee and orange peel

Taste 👅 : Deep rich flavours of dark chocolate, thick dark treacle, Christmas cake, red berries, cherries, coffee and ginger spice

Finish 🏁 : A long finish of cocoa nibs, dark treacle and sweet cherries

Thoughts 💭 :  A hugely rich and intense whisky, 27 years in a Sherry cask has hugely influenced it giving a thick mouth coating feel and a heavy amount of ginger spice throughout.
It’s a fantastic whisky and obviously this normally would be a 21 year old. The price of it was reasonable at the time I bought it but now it’s a tad on the outrageous side. If you want a good value GlenDronach, go for the 15, full of flavour and the price isn’t too bad.
