❄️ Non Chill Filtered
🖍 Natural Colour
Colour 🌈 : Very Light Gold
Nose👃🏼 : Lemon zest, strawberries, stone fruits, barley, honey and ginger
Taste 👅 : Sizzling ginger spice, barley, golden syrup porridge, orange marmalade, black pepper and hints of smoky charred oak
Finish 🏁 : Black pepper, baking spices and fruit juice
Thoughts 💭 : It’s a good dram the mouthfeel is oily and the whisky has a lot of sizzling spice behind it. The smoky undertones were unexpected and the bitter marmalade definitely sticks out after the spice dies down.
At its rrp it’s not one I’d be in a rush for, for me it’s not nearly complex enough but a lot of Diageo’s non supermarket whiskies have shot up in price and by that respects it is priced accordingly, that doesn’t mean I agree with it though.
Sláinte!
