🖍 natural Colour

Colour 🌈 : Dark Copper Brown

Nose👃🏼 : Intense treacle, dark chocolate, rich fruit cake, cherries, cinnamon, spice dried fruit peels and chocolate caramel

Taste 👅 : Intense dark chocolate, treacle and Christmas cake met by a huge ginger spice, orange peel, cinnamon and brown sugar

Finish 🏁 : Bittersweet mocha, orange marmalade and very dry oak spices

Thoughts 💭 :  This is intense! There is a huge amount of overwhelming flavours trying to burst through here all at once and then a huge ginger flavour that brings an incredible level of spice followed by a bittersweet after taste with a thick mouthfeel, the finish is incredibly drying.
A little water added brings that ginger spice down and enhances those mocha flavours along with almost of powdery chocolate flavour. More of your fruit cake kind of flavours pull through with it too.
In all it’s a lovely dram, it’s hugely intense but I quite like that as a change, it wakes you up. The flavours can be calmed with some water but if you find this to be a preference then you may be best getting the normal 12 year old instead.

Sláinte!
