Colour 🌈 : Dark Caramel
Nose👃🏼 : Beach bbq smoke, red berries, burnt mocha, smoky bacon and medicinal notes
Taste 👅 : Big wave of smoke, metallic iron, hints of dark fruits and black pepper
Finish 🏁 : Charred oak and saline
Thoughts 💭 : Its a smoky hit with an oily mouthfeel, there’s fruity hints in the background that don’t quite find their way through the smoke. It’s been double matured in Pedro Ximénez seasoned American Oak casks it’s just a bit of a shame those PX notes don’t quite make it through. The price isn’t too bad but I would stick with the 16 year old.
