❄️ Non Chill Filtered
🖍 Natural Colour
Colour 🌈 : Very Light Gold
Nose👃🏼 : Charred oak, smoky beach campfire, red berries, apricots and vanilla fudge
Taste 👅 : Burnt oak with smoky embers, white wine, lemon zest, vanilla fudge and black pepper spice
Finish 🏁 : Saline and sweet, fruity notes dance with peat smoke leading to musty dry oak
Thoughts 💭 : Lovely peaty sipper, there’s a lot of hidden complexity in this and it opens out to more flavours the more your palate is accustomed to the peat. It’s quite sharp and spicy when it hits the tongue and the peat is moderate to big but it doesn’t overwhelm the palate and hidden sweet and fruity flavours pull through the smoke. It’s certainly a very good offering from the peat side and comparable to some of the more sought after peaty drams out there!
This mysterious islay forms part of That Boutique-y Whisky Company’s core range and even comes in 70cl bottles. Well worth grabbing a bottle whilst you can.
