Colour 🌈 : Caramel

Nose👃🏼 : Orange peel, honey, barley, ripe pear, cherries and cinnamon

Taste 👅 : Honeyed malt, oak ashes, toffee and a hint of dark fruits

Finish 🏁 : Ginger with a dry oak

Thoughts 💭 : Not too bad a dram, it has some complexity behind it and is incredibly smooth. For me, it’s not great value for money, for the price that’s expected it doesn’t deliver enough and is watered down to 40% abv. There’s just so much more better whiskies out there for the price like a GlenDronach Port Wood or a Filey Bay Port Cask, delivering more depth, character and closer to straight from the cask than this.
