Colour 🌈 : Burnt Copper

Nose👃🏼 : Dark chocolate, iron, cloves, cinnamon, orange peel, cherries, raisins and candied fruit peel

Taste 👅 : Smooth chocolate, cinnamon, fruit cake, some caramel, honey, barley sugar, a hint of orange zest and lots of ginger spice

Finish 🏁 : Lingering spice, lots of candied fruit peel, cloves and a touch of dry oak

Thoughts 💭 : A very tasty dram and deserving of the awards and points it was given. Full of complexity and great flavours, the extra strength added from its predecessor has made the flavours pop a little more. Far be it from me to judge something that is award winning as this is, but I have hopes they’ll nudge the 2024 release up to 46% (especially as they lowered the 2023 abv) to really make those flavours pop out.
