Colour 🌈 : Copper

Nose👃🏼 : Over ripe bananas, iron, green apple peel, honeyed malt, pear drops and oak spice

Taste 👅 : Stone fruits, tannin, orange marmalade, double cream, buttered toast, a touch of cinnamon and black pepper

Finish 🏁 : Black pepper, liquorice, some tropical fruits and spicy oak

Thoughts 💭 : It’s a nice dram but not my favourite of the Filey Bay’s. There’s good complexity about it and the flavours are more fruity and spicy with some bitter tang that brings the tannin and marmalade flavours with it but it’s not one for me. This particular double oak was matured in ex-bourbon and virgin oak casks.
