❄️ Non Chill Filtered

🖍 Natural Colour

Colour 🌈 : Caramel

Nose👃🏼 : Tropical fruits, pineapple, stone fruits, cherries, raisins, chocolate, lemon peel and cinnamon

Taste 👅 : Fruity, peaches swiftly followed by milk chocolate, fruit cake, raisins, mangoes and ginger spice

Finish 🏁 : Lingering spice with stone fruits, black pepper, a hint of coffee and oak

Thoughts 💭 : I suppose this is what I expected from the 16 year old, known for its maturation in PX, Oloroso and ex bourbon casks, it has the Fettercairn fruityness with some chocolate in the mix. This feels like it needed more sherry influence. We know from speyside that fruity whiskies and px go well together as do most sherry influences but this is a little light touch. That being said because of this it does deliver a wider complexity but with more subtle notes in some areas. It is a good balance but it’s not perfect and wouldn’t you just love to see that whisky a little darker?

Sláinte!
