Colour 🌈 : Dark Copper Brown

Nose👃🏼 : Light Brown Soft Sugar, red berry jam, liquorice, orange oil, pineapple chunks, rubber tyre and a hint of chocolate and marzipan

Taste 👅 : Liquorice and aniseed balls, musty dunnage, dark treacle toffee, rye bread, copper pipes, bitter dark chocolate, sweet cherries, herbs and root ginger spice

Finish 🏁 : Lingering spice, hints of burnt oak, mint cough syrup and cinnamon spice

Thoughts 💭 : Fantastic rum, supremely complex flavour profile and like nothing you’ve ever drank before.
This is a classic traditional column still rum from Trinidad’s long-lost Caroni distillery, which closed its doors for good back in 2002.
That Boutique-y Rum Company treated this 24-year-old expression to an 18-month finish in Darkness oloroso sherry octaves which imparted an incredible colour and flavour profile, mixing intense sherried flavours but maintaining a smooth profile
