Nose👃🏼 : Chocolate mixed with fruity notes of cherries, pineapples and fruitcake

Taste 👅 : The classic distillery flavours come through alongside some milk chocolate, plenty of fruit cake, nuts and ginger spice

Finish 🏁 : Ginger spice lingers and brings more chocolate with fruit peel and lots of oak

Thoughts 💭 : This whisky is finished in both American oak and ex sherry casks and this particular expression is a hand fill and is therefore at a mighty cask strength of 61.4%. It delivers some familiarity of the brand from the founder reserve but this is only fleeting before it is engulfed by sherried greatness delivering a beautiful dram all round. The colour is deceptively light for what it is
