Colour 🌈: Light Caramel
Nose👃🏼: Fruity nose, stone fruits, lemon peel, cinnamon, iron and white spirit
Taste 👅: Fruity flavours continue, nectarines burst out with oranges and pineapples. Cinnamon spice warms the mouth and lemon drizzle cake appears. Some chocolate comes through with more sips.
Finish 🏁 : Incredibly fruity finish, lots of tropical fruits, hazelnuts and dry oak
Thoughts 💭: Much nicer than I expected it to be. This particular expression does not meet the standards to be classed as a Japanese whisky but why that is, is unknown. It had me skeptical though but it seems there was no need for this as the whisky has delivered well, an incredible expression with great depth and complexity.
